We are excited to be continuing our
partnership with Beyond Differences this year!
Beyond differences is a youth leadership program whose mission is to inspire students at middle schools nationwide to end social isolation and create a culture of belonging. It trains middle school students to be effective leaders who stand up for equity, inclusion, and positivity online and at school. Beyond Differences is a program where students are empowered to lead positive prevention initiatives at MAELS. Beyond Differences will help student leaders to improve their leadership skills, learn about the effects of social isolation, inclusion, and equity, work on team building and activism, improve interpersonal skills, make connections to peers, and form new friendships.
ATTENTION ALL 6TH GRADE STUDENTS:
The Beyond Differences student leaders are inviting you to check-in with us, ask questions, discuss your emotions in a safe space, and share how you have been feeling these past few months.
Even if you are feeling SUPER, we believe it's important to feel like you BELONG, and feel understood because everyone's feelings and opinions are valid at MAELS, and everyone has a right to be heard. We hope you will join us, and can't wait to meet you!
