**Dual licenses are preferred but you are welcome to apply even if you do not have that!

MAELS Hiring Process
1) Share your Resume and Cover letter
Submit your resume, sample lesson or unit plan and a cover letter telling us about your educational philosophy, your skills, passions and your personal and professional identity.
2) Zoom Initial Interview
The zoom interview allows us an initial sense of your vision of effective teaching and your interest in middle school. Select candidates will be invited to attend an in person or zoom interview.
3) In-person Team Interview/Demo Lesson
This interview day is an opportunity for you to get to know us as we continue to get to know you. We have structured the day to provide opportunities for you to interact with many different members of our community including current students and to get to know more about our goals, curriculum, and philosophy. Candidates will also have the opportunity to lead a short demo lesson with a group of students.
MAELS Hiring Team Review
The MAELS hiring team (a diverse group of students, families, teachers and administrators) will meet to discuss how your interview, demo lesson and artifacts align with our school goals.
